"I want to keep working hard and getting better because these trophies have now given me more motivation. "This great team has helped me because when the team wins it is easier for us all to play with more confidence." Fabregas was second and Tottenham's Aaron Lennon, 20, third in the voting for the young player award. Ronaldo's team-mate Wayne Rooney was also shortlisted, as were Reading striker Kevin Doyle, 23, and 18-year-old defender Micah Richards of Manchester City. Eight Manchester United players made it into the team of the year while manager Sir Alex Ferguson was honoured with the PFA Special Merit Award. Ferguson paid tribute to Ronaldo, who joined United from Sporting Lisbon in a £12.2m deal in August 2003. "At this moment in time, I think he is the best player in the world and his season has been incredible," he said. ac milan vs man united 3-0

United washed away by magnificent Milan Milan set up a repeat of the Champions League final of 2005, sweeping aside Manchester United 3-0 at the San Siro. Kaka turned his side's dominance into goals with a fine volley on 11 minutes, while Clarence Seedorf thumped home a volley from the same position on the half hour mark as United were left dazzled by Milan's slick passing and tireless pressing. Substitute Alberto Gilardino wrapped up the 5-3 aggregate win with a breakaway goal in the closing stages to seal Milan's date with Liverpool in Athens in three weeks time - their third final in five years. Though Kaka had been singled out by all and sundry as the main threat United had to nullify, the Brazilian found himself in space time and again in the opening stages, and orchestrated Milan's magnificent start. For a player returning from a month's injury lay-off, the sight of the midfield maestro bearing down on you in full flight in the first minute of your comeback is unlikely to be a welcome one, yet one that befell Nemanja Vidic. With under 60 seconds on the clock, Kaka picked the ball up in space, flew past Vidic on the outside, and flashed a dangerous ball across the face of goal that could easily have resulted in a goal had Pippo Inzaghi held his run just a little longer. Moments later Seedorf forced a fine save from Edwin van der Sar with a thunderous volley from the edge of the area. With the rain teeming down, United appeared all at sea, and were duly carved apart again as another flurry of crisp passing in the Milan midfield sent Massimo Oddo clear down the right wing, and van der Sar was again called into action to deny Kaka on the volley. United's inability to keep possession and apparent refusal to guard Kaka meant the first goal was only a matter of time, and indeed it was the Brazilian who scored it, volleying home from the edge of the area after a gorgeous backward header from Seedorf. The comparisons drawn in the pre-match build-up between Kaka and Cristiano Ronaldo looked laughable as the former left United's defence floundering with his pace and movement. The Portuguese, starting on the left of midfield, endured a nightmare, and was marked almost out of the game by the excellent Gennaro Gattuso. On the few occasions he did escape his marker, his passing was wayward. United's one effort of any note before the break came from Ryan Giggs, who forced a decent low save from Dida at the near post from 25 yards. Milan's second goal arrived on the half hour mark as United needlessly played themselves into trouble in defence, and paid the price for it. Vidic slipped as he attempted to finally clear the ball, gifting Andrea Pirlo the ball on the by-line. His cross was cleared to only to Seedorf, who rode the challenge of Vidic, and slammed a right foot volley past Van der Sar, almost a carbon copy of Kaka's finish earlier on. Ronaldo's evening was summed up neatly soon after the break when he inexplicably gave the ball straight to Kaka in midfield, who once again charged at Vidic. A burst of pace and a shimmy later, he was lining up a left foot shot that Van der Sar did well to parry clear. Only with half an hour remaining, and their Champions League lives fading fast, did United finally respond. A neat move left the hitherto anonymous Wayne Rooney in space on the edge of the area, though he elected not to shoot, but to play in the overlapping Darren Fletcher, who lashed wide of the near post on the stretch. Moments later Rooney was a the heart of the action again, turning Alessandro Nesta beautifully to send a low ball across the Milan box, though none of his team-mates had read his thoughts, and the Rossoneri brought it clear. Louis Saha, also making his comeback from injury, was brought on for John O'Shea with a quarter of an hour remaining, but their lack of numbers at the back served only to allow Milan another run at goal. Marek Jankulovski released Gilardino, who had the freedom of the United half to bear down on Van der Sar and pick his spot low to the Dutch goalkeeper's left. Ronaldo picked up a booking late on for clattering into Massimo Ambrosini, and misses his side's next Champions League match, which will be their first group game at the start of next season. Milan, on the other hand, have three weeks to plot revenge against the Liverpool side who somehow stole the trophy from their grasp with three goals in six mad minutes back in 2005. the video is recorded from art sport channel - live match with arabic commentary the commentator is mr : esam el shawali
